Wedding Ring Metal and Colour

Yellow

Yellow gold wedding rings come in different carats (purity). Gold wedding rings come in 9 carat, 14 carat, 18 carat and 22 carat.

White

White gold wedding rings come in 9 carat 14 carat and 18 carat. White gold rings offer a more affordable alternative to platinum wedding rings.

Platinum

Platinum weddings rings have become very popular recently. Jewellery manufacturers offer a wide variety in platinum wedding rings. Platinum wedding rings are more expensive and heavier than gold are rarely causes allergic reactions. Platinum rings are softer than white gold and can scratch but it is more durable and does not wear down or abrade like gold. Therefore, over time, platinum rings last longer than gold ones.

Palladium

Similar to Platinum, Palladium does not react with oxygen and thus does not tarnish, but can also be alloyed with gold to produce white gold.

Palladium has not been used in recent years due to the lack of a UK Hallmarking standard. The wedding rings we are able to supply are stamped .950 PD, showing the alloy and it's purity. Assay offices are currently in discussion to create a UK standard.

If you are looking to purchase white gold or platinum wedding rings you may like to consider palladium as a relatively inexpensive alternative, just costing a little over a 9ct gold price.

Finish

Decide if you want your wedding rings to just high polish or a different kind of finishes you want. Lot of jewellery manufacturers would not take a return on finishing option other than the high polish.

dotHammering: Forming indentations in metal to create interesting patterns and texture.
dotHigh Polish: Mirror like.
dotMatte: Soft, flat, non-reflective finish.
dotSatin: Grained texture of satin cloth, has a softer shine than high polish
